"Let's Play with Clay!" Children's Workshop
Session I: 9:30am - 11:30am
Session II: 1:00pm - 3:00pm
Learn all about pottery on the Wisconsin frontier with a tour of the Historic Indian Agency House site, and participation in a variety of activities - from a question-and-answer session with an experience potter, to a "dream decorator" session where you will use your bargain sense and style to decide what to "buy" from a variety of pottery choices. Of course, you'll also create and decorate your own pots to take home, including Native American-style pinch and coil pots. All participants will receive a "Ceramics & Clay" fun patch upon completion of all related activities. $11.00 per child, with registration and pre-payment required. Registration deadline is Monday, March 4, 2013. Recommended for ages 6 to 12. PLEASE NOTE: This workshop is geared towards Girl Scouts (troops or individuals), but the general public (boys and girls) is welcome to join in on the fun! 608-742-6362.

Portage Area Community Theatre Dinner Show
Portage Area Community Theatre (PACT) has scheduled another popular dinner theatre show. The comedy "Drinking Habits", about nuns who make wine to keep their convent open but find out that drinking their brew can lead to all kinds of funny happenings, is being directed by PACT veteran actor Bob Viking. The dinner show is set for March 14-24 at the new banquet hall stage at Northwoods Rehabiliation just south of Portage. Tickets are $24 for the complete dinner and show, and will be available to the public at the Portage Furniture Store starting February 1st. A beer and wine cash bar will be available. Businesses are encouraged to buy a table of 8 or 9 seats for their employees or preferred customers. All businesses buying a table before February 23rd will get a "We Support Live Theatre Arts" name mention and a free $40 ad in the program.
